A specially appointed judge on Tuesday dismissed DWI charges against a former New Hampshire State Police trooper who was found sleeping in a truck stopped in the middle of a busy Bedford intersection. Meanwhile, police reports about the Sept. 21 incident revealed that another trooper — also apparently sleeping — was in the truck at the time. And while the trooper sitting in the driver’s seat, David Myer, no longer works for state police, state police brass confirmed Wednesday night that the passenger, Mark Suttmeier, remains a trooper. State Police Col. Robert Quinn said he could say little else because actions taken against a state employee are exempt from disclosure laws. “This all falls under the personnel umbrella,” Quinn said when asked if Suttmeier faced any disciplinary actions.
