Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday commemorated October 7th with a video imagining "Gaza Genocide Museums" being built throughout the world to memorialize Israel's slaughter of Palestinian civilians.
Erdogan wrote on X (as translated by Google): Today is October 7th... Exactly 365 days ago, 50 thousand of our brothers and sisters, mostly children and women, who were alive, were brutally murdered. The hospitals, places of worship for different faiths, and schools in Gaza are no longer standing. Many journalists, representatives of civil society organizations, and ambassadors of peace are no longer among us. Israel's long-standing policy of genocide, occupation and invasion must now come to an end.Erdogan has talked a tough game but has done little to actually halt the genocide in Gaza beyond suspending trade with Israel and blocking cooperation between NATO and the Jewish state. Pro-Palestine activists have urged Erdogan to shut down a foreign-owned pipeline that goes through Turkey and supplies Israel with oil for their war effort but their protests have gone unanswered.
