A suspected truck bomb blew up part of the Crimean bridge early Saturday and reportedly killed three people. Surveillance video captured the moment of the explosion.
The Crimean Bridge, also known as the Kerch Strait Bridge or Kerch Bridge, is a hugely strategic road-and-rail bridge connecting Russia with Crimea that has been used to transfer thousands of Russian tanks and other military vehicles into southern Ukraine as part of their war effort. Ukrainian officials publicly celebrated the attack on social media. Zelensky advisor Mykhailo Podolyak posted a photo of the bridge ablaze on Twitter and said it was just "the beginning." "Crimea, the bridge, the beginning," Podolyak tweeted. "Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, everything occupied by Russia must be expelled."
"The guided missile cruiser Moskva and the Kerch Bridge – two notorious symbols of russian power in Ukrainian Crimea – have gone down. What’s next in line, russkies?" the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense said.
Secretary of the National Security Oleksiy Danilov posted video of the bridge on fire along with video of Marylin Monroe singing, "Happy Birthday Mr. President." "Good morning, Ukraine!" Danilov tweeted along with a Ukrainian flag emoji.
The official Twitter account of Ukraine tweeted "sick burn."
The Ukrainian post office announced a commemorative stamp celebrating the bombing.
Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu congratulated "Ukrainian special operations units" for likely staging the attack. "Estonia certainly welcomes this and congratulates the Ukrainian special operations units, who are expected to be behind this operation," Reinsalu said.
Russia has said repeatedly they would defend the bridge with nuclear weapons. Fortunately, the damages weren't as bad as everyone was expecting.

Rail service, which is used to transfer tanks and other military vehicles, was restored within a day.
With the bombing failing to destroy the bridge, Ukrainian officials seamlessly transitioned from celebrating the attack to claiming it was a Russian false flag.
It's looking like Ukrainian special-ops duped an unwitting truck driver into carrying an order of fertilizer across the bridge then remotely detonated his truck with a pre-planted explosive device. (They carried out a similar operation when they car bombed Alexander Dugin's daughter in Moscow.)
From RT, "Crimean Bridge reopens for traffic after explosion": Road traffic on the Crimean Bridge, which was damaged by a truck explosion earlier on Saturday, has partly resumed, and trains are expected to start moving later in the evening. It appears the nuclear "Armageddon" Biden's neocons are working to bring about will have to be delayed (for now).
