PewDiePie's $50k Donation to The ADL Widely Interpreted As 'Blackmail' Payment

Famed YouTuber Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg's announcement on Tuesday that he was donating $50,000 to the YouTube censors at the Anti-Defamation League is backfiring hilariously.

His young followers noticed immediately that Pewds' donation to the ADL came after they celebrated Disney for severing ties with him in 2017:



Many people interpreted the move as a blackmail payment and his zoomer followers took it as giving into the ADL's "bullying":


PewDiePie's video was flooded with comments about how the ADL is censoring YouTubers for their political views and post after post accused the ADL of censoring their comments.







PewDiePie responded to the controversy on Wednesday with a statement acknowledging the donation "doesn't make sense to everyone" consdering the ADL's attacks on him but he just wanted to "move on" with his life.

The implication seems to be that he's paying off the ADL to get the MSM off his back:


Tim Pool spoke out against Pewds' donation and made a video about it titled, "Pewdiepie just stuck a knife in the back Of The Youtube Community By Funding The ADL."





The top comments on Twitter were similarly woke:











The comments are filled with zoomers asking "what is the MSM" and "what is the ADL" and getting redpilled.

PewDiePie subreddit also started asking questions and one of the leftist mods (who said he had never even heard of the ADL before Pewds' video) responded by censoring everyone and insisting the entire backlash is just a 4chan hoax.
