Project Veritas released a bombshell video Monday revealing how Google are manipulating their search results to advance a "social justice narrative" in the name of "fairness."

Google employees have already got to work trying to censor the investigative journalism piece through "privacy" complaints, so if there's any issues watch it on the mirrors below. [UPDATE: Google censored the entire video citing a "privacy complaint" by their own employees exposed in the video.]

From Hot Air:
Project Veritas has released a new video featuring an interview with an anonymous “Google Insider” who has come forward to reveal how Google is working to create “fairness” online through the use of machine learning.

“Fairness is a dog whistle. It does not mean what you think that it means and you have to apply doublethink in order to understand what they’re really saying,” the Insider tells Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe. He adds, “What they’re really saying about fairness is that they have to manipulate their search results so it gives them the political agenda that they want.”

O’Keefe uses autocomplete as an example, showing that typing “Men can” into Google search yields suggestions like “Men can have babies” and “Men can get pregnant.” The Insider says these are selected because they are the things most people are searching for on Google, rather they are suggestions that have been trained into the algorithm that are in keeping with a particular political outlook. Later, O’Keefe notes that typing “Hillary Clinton’s emails” into the search bar yields no suggestions, despite the fact that this has been a popular search term over the past several years.

[...]Project Veritas has also received documents describing the concept behind the algorithm known as “ML Fairness” (machine language fairness). He reads a couple of selections from those documents including this: “In some cases it may be appropriate to take no action if the system accurately reflects current reality, while in other cases it may be desirable to consider how we might help society reach a more equitable state via product intervention.”
The second aspect of the video is undercover clips with Google employees exposing their biases and desire to influence the 2020 election (these algorithms may have already thrown the 2018 midterms to Democrats).

From Breitbart:
Undercover videos recorded by Project Veritas reveals that Google is determined to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump in 2020, and is altering its products with this aim in mind.

The report includes undercover footage featuring a top Google executive, Jen Gennai, discussing how Google might prevent an electoral outcome like 2016 from happening again.

Here’s what Gennai says in the undercover video:

We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.

We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?

Gennai also declares her opposition to Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s proposal to break up Google. Why? Because, says Gennai, if Google is broken up it can’t prevent another “Trump situation.”

Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that.

Gennai also declared that no amount of soft pressure from Congress or the White House will make Google change its ways. In other words, talk won’t help — if politicians want to change Google’s behavior, they’ll have to go beyond committee hearings and actually change the law.

We got called in front of Congress multiple times, so we’ve not shown up because we know that they’re just going to attack us. We’re not going to change our, we’re not going to change our mind. There’s no use sitting there being attacked over something we know we’re not going to change. They can pressure us but we’re not changing. But we also have to be aware of what they’re doing and what they’re accusing us of.

According to her professional profile, Gennai works on “responsible innovation” in the Global Affairs division of Google — the same division run by Kent Walker, the Google VP who has declared his intention to make the populist-nationalist movement represented by Donald Trump a “blip” or “hiccup” in history, which he said “bends towards progress.”
This is likely why you get results like these when you search "American inventors" on Google (hundreds of similar examples have been found):

Here's the results when you search "CEOs" on Google vs Bing.

Around half of Google's image results for "CEOs" feature women versus only an eighth of Bing's results.

As I reported earlier this year, Google regularly manually changes their search results in response to liberal journalists' complaints.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai said during sworn testimony in December 2018 before congress that he leads the company "without political bias" and "to do otherwise would go against our core principles and our business interests."

"It's not possible for individual employees to manipulate our search results," Pichai claimed while under oath. "We don't manually intervene on any particular search. Providing users with access to high-quality information is sacrosanct."

Pichai needs to be investigated for potential perjury.
