  Jussie Smollett "misled police and the public to believe that his attackers were white," Assistant State's Attorney Risa Lanier said on Thursday."The Osundairo brothers are dark-skinned male blacks," Lanier said. "During the Good Morning America interview, Smollett stated: 'And it feels like if I had said I was a Muslim or a Mexican or someone black I feel like the doubters would have supported me much more a lot more.'" "These statements by Smollett further mislead the police and the public to believe his attackers were white," Lanier said. TMZ reported Thursday: And, there's this ... you'll recall Smollett's camp told TMZ the day of the attack, he believed his attackers were white.
