A D.C. cop who felt it appropriate to beat a store clerk for making a snarky comment and falsely charge him for 'assaulting an officer' apparently didn't consider the possibility he was being filmed throughout his assault. After the Locker Room store's surveillance footage was retrieved, the officer was charged with assault, and the false charges he filed against the young clerk were dropped. Fast forward to two years later, the officer has just plead guilty to simple assault and he faces a possible 180 days in jail. Thanks to the overwhelming prevalence of video cameras, the police routine of beating someone up then falsely charging them to cover their criminal actions is becoming increasingly more difficult. _ Chris runs the website InformationLiberation.com, you can read more of his writings here.
