this is a false argument. no one says (except fools) that man has caused global warming.

man contributes to climate change, it is a simple logical fact which is undeniable.

the climate is warming and has been warming.

carbon trading is a scam yes. but don't let stupid people lie to you because they refuse to address the actual issue (carbon trading).

I guess you didn't watch it because he says very clearly multiple times the world is in fact getting colder. Not that him saying it makes it so, it's just a fact widely recorded and easy to observe.

The only thing changing the climate is chemtrail spraying, to say that because man has some minute effect on the climate that means he contributes to climate change is disingenuous. Just look at the double think in your post, "no one (except fools) is saying global warming is caused by man -- man causes 'climate change'."

Carbon trading is based off this scientific lie, so no that is not the actual issue, that's just one offshoot of the issue which is using this fake religion to enslave the masses into a new dark age.

and when you change the atmosphere you change the climate (you just said so yourself with your chemtrail statement)

those are simple undeniable facts

there are no facts that say the global climate is cooling. there is no physical evidence that the global climate is cooling. there are facts that show warming, and there are obvious physical signs that the climate has drastically warmed in just the past 50 years.

will the climate cool again eventually? yes of course.

this september was the 2nd warmest since records began (global).

the entire argument over climate change is disingenuous. it is a distraction. just like the oil industry invented the slogan "save the trees" they have also invented the slogan "global warming" so that they can argue that it is not real.

that distracts us from something very real, which is climate change.
it also distracts us from pollution in general.

those who argue that "global warming" is not real, only do so that they can continue a status quo. they want to continue using oil for energy, and in wasteful ways. they want to continue wars to gain more oil, and that whole mess. ie: they claim that human activity is insignificant.

so you say, and the fellow in the video says, that the climate is actually cooling. well, that's climate change. so climate change is real.

now, lets pretend the climate does not change at all, and we feel certain it never will change, and have no reason to fear the climate whatsoever.

guess what... we still have no choice but to do all of the things that are currently suggested we do to prepare of climate change...

reduce energy consumption, increase efficiency. and everyone knows we have no choice but to switch from oil eventually (and not to mention pumping oil in the form of plastic over every inch of the planet - no choice but to change)

Aside from this man's staunch conservatism and religious references, he does make some good points. But ultimately, "left" or "right," both groups are against the public. Truth takes no sides. If we do clamp down on emissions, a few of the fabulously wealthy will be less so, we will have to do with less cheaply manufactured crap, most of which doesn't need to exist in the first place, but our children will have cleaner air. If we do nothing and we're wrong, the economic consequences of doing something will pale by comparison because a lot of us will be dead. But I predict we'll not do enough to avert disaster because, well, the monkeys are stupid.

They obviously don't have any real data and science. As an exercise I pulled all monthly average and max temps for my city from 1880s to 1994. Guess what? No change. Do they think we are all stupid?

Absolutely and completely wrong, the cost of this thinking is damaging beyond imagination. They want to put a carbon meter like they have on your house on your body, they want to regulate and tax everything you and I do, the ultra wealthy are behind this entire scam because it will be used to control every facet of our lives, they, on the other hand, can simply dole out a few bucks to pay for their "carbon offsets", hell, in the Waxman-Markey bill they don't even have to do that because the mega-corporations are given hoards of free credits. They want everything we do to be judged by its carbon output, that is big brother times 1000, they want carbon credits to be the new reserve currency. Do you have any idea what that means? Can you think 5 seconds beyond the petty idea of "getting the rich" to realize you are being conned and this is another scam by the rich to clamp down on the poor? If we don't divert this carbon-con control scheme it will be absolute hell on earth, and to think you believe the lie that it's to save the environment, from the same people who moved all their factories overseas to dump toxic waste into the Chinese and Indian people's rivers, you have been so royally conned and yet you don't even want to admit it, if disaster comes it will be because of the chumps who bought into it all not because of those who didn't.

So Chris is assuming that (a) human activity is not affecting our environment in any detrimental way, (b) that the planets resources are infinite, and (c) that the "ultra wealthy" are capable of pulling off a conspiracy to impoverish everyone to their benefit.
(a) We have dumped carbon into the atmosphere in a century that it took more than half the age of the earth to accumulate. I have seen with my own eyes in the space of my lifetime how the climate has changed. The Japanese have been shipping around the north coast of Russia for a decade. Last year, we had shipping through the northwest passage for the first time ever. Glaciers are receding faster than since the close of the last ice age, and it's accelerating. Deserts are growing. And we've already passed peak oil. Except for the shipping, none of this can be good for commerce.
(b) We've already extracted all the easy to get ores and fuels. The earth is a fixed mass, and it is a mathematical certainty that we are going to run out of everything we can't grow or recycle. I'd like to stretch this out for as many future generations as possible.
(c) Although the oil companies have been pretty good at suppressing alternative energy technologies, and arms companies have kept the war business going,they are going to "hit the wall" when oil becomes too expensive to support shipping or transportation for war. They don't have a backup plan, so I don't think they are behind any conspiracy.
But be at peace, friend. The monkeys that run the show are too shortsighted to do anything about it until catastrophe is upon us.

Just thought I would add that the latest NOAA statistics show that October 2009 was the third coldest October on record since temp. data has been recorded (since the 1800s) - that covers a significant amount of time.

Global warming - excuse me - climate change - is a new religion for many. I wonder why Al Gore always refuses to debate the issue with those that actually are climate experts...

He appears to be oblivious to concepts of "food chain" and "unintended consequences." He never even touches on the reason why it was banned, which is that the dying mosquitoes were consumed by lizards which were eaten by cats and other predators that normally ate the rodents that spread other diseases. What he fails to mention is that the number of deaths from malaria were transferred to illnesses spread by exploding rodent populations. Everything humans do when they try to control their environment instead of living with it backfires eventually. Our unintended influence on our environment will backfire in time as well.

I am well aware having lived through the 60's, in the dirtiest city in the world. I also had the pleasure of seeing it cleaned up.
Now that, was pollution and a genuine fight to combat it, we succeeded.
This time though we are being asked to clean up imaginary pollution.
Can't you see behind this smoke screen the real solid pollution hidden there?.
Nobody is interested in that because it sucks on the billions that they have already accumalated.
We would have been robbed blind by the global warming scam.
I'm willing to give a few pennies to clean up a beach after an oil spill as long as I am the one cleaning it.
But asking me to pay for a natural process, by the way air has been free since the year dot.
They are well out of order and should get industry to pay and clean up the shit they have left behind.
Human CO2 is a natural process whilst industrial CO2 is unnatural, its not the human being "adding" to the CO2 problem its the men/ companies who run the machines.
Now we have been liberated from this collossal lie, we can get down to the nitty gritty and lets clean up this planet but making sure that the right offender pays for it.
There is not a chance in hell that im going to pay for "MY" air, not in a million years.
