John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save the planet

Book he authored in 1977 advocates for extreme totalitarian measures to control the population

Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A "Planetary Regime" with the power of life and death over American citizens.

The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?

These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:

• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;

• The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food;

• Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;

• People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility" -- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.

• A transnational "Planetary Regime" should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans' lives -- using an armed international police force.

Impossible, you say? That must be an exaggeration or a hoax. No one in their right mind would say such things.

Well, I hate to break the news to you, but it is no hoax, no exaggeration. John Holdren really did say those things, and this report contains the proof. Below you will find photographs, scans, and transcriptions of pages in the book Ecoscience, co-authored in 1977 by John Holdren and his close colleagues Paul Ehrlich and Anne Ehrlich. The scans and photos are provided to supply conclusive evidence that the words attributed to Holdren are unaltered and accurately transcribed.

I don't know if the title is authentic but it presents to me as self evidently nonsense (eg ignoratio elenchi).

As for ecoscience or science the slave population is substantially superfluous, that is to say technology has replaced the need and benefit in the slave system as is. As for mankind protections have come from what has been understood, shared, the thinking and realisation. The system relies on abuse, life backwards for the sake of power and courtesy of the central banking system it has rendered most of the world part of an odious conspiracy, I say power, that is part of the con, the illusion and the heirarchy is complicated now by active participants within and without the system.

More than 20 years ago I was dying, I had seen so much and done so much I had no regrets. I pondered if I had a reason to live and it what I came up with was technology, the rate of progress of technology offered so much promise for mankind in the 21st century that I wanted to be there to witness it. That hasn't happened, technology being hidden from or used against people left me with a very different reason to live.

as for me, i dont think something this radical could be passed as law or even a thought. but maybe i'm too new to this site and have a mainstream thought process. but it just seems that he wouldn't be able to get this book taken seriously as law.

i'm all for population control methods if they are humane. Maybe we need to begin licensing pregnancy, i.e., having a baby. Why should anyone be allowed to bring new life in todays world without a financial and emotional commitment??

Yes, there should be limits. Good god man...can't you people see what is going on in this world? We can't keep growing by 80 million people/year. Its not sustainable, nor are the natural resources.

Instead of receiving a tax break for having children, you should be taxed at a higher level over a certain number....say 2.

Hypocrisy at its best are those religious fanatics that decry abortion, yet many american children are abused, underfed, under clothed, do not receive adequate shelter and do not have a guardian who loves and nurtures them. Some are undoubtedly in their own neighborhoods, yet they will kill to save the life of a fetus.

This must be the age of ignorance we are living in, or people are really fuched up....can't decide which.

First, there is enough food produced in the world to feed every person 3x/day - and I mean a balanced meal - the problem is greed
Second, you elude to people (religious fanatics) who kill "baby killers" (aka abortionists)...one is too many, but this number far outweighs the number of abortions committed since 1973 - how about abortion fanatics?
Third, so your answer to those who are abused, underfed, unclothed, etc is to kill them in the womb - very compassionate...

Until he was appointed as the White House science adviser I had not heard of John Holdren and would have dismissed as anti-government phobia, paranoia and slander the given totalitarian ideological remarks attributed to Mr. Holdren had I not viewed similar remarks made on TV and quoted in newspapers in San Francisco -- where I, a black man, resided and was attending college, in the late 1960s and early 1970s -- on the part of professor Paul Erlich (the said apparent scholastic collaborator of John Holdren) of Stanford University during the eugenics-dysgenics media heyday of racialist physics professor William Shockley (co-inventor of the transistor) of U.C. Berkeley , who maintained that Negroes, or people of black African descent, had cognitive deficits relative to the intelligence of Caucasian people and that they were dysgenic (going the path of a negative evolution). I witnessed Dr. Erlich express solidarity, if not sympathy, with Shockley's racial views and openly advocate that the federal government pay black females (maybe males too) a lifetime stipend ("Welfare" or public assistance in the absence of children) to not have children and undergo sterilization as a solution to the inferior Negro race problem. In his late years I have heard Dr. Erlich say that he makes financial contributations to a Sickle Cell Anemia charity fund and talk racial PolyAnna, as though he never had or expressed any racial cleansing or genocidal ideas and advocacy. He is not to be trusted any more than the prominent geneticist James Watson is to be trusted, who was recently unmasked for the covert racist he has been, admitting that his racist views were contrary to his scientific knowledge.

However, at some near point, over the objections of liberty absolutists and religious idealists and zealots, there must be human "overpopulation control," voluntary or involuntary, or the Earth's lands, waters and skies will be exhausted of their bounty and become wastelands and water and sky dead zones, and the human species, in competition between and among nations, racial phenotypes, ethnic groups and classes, will revert to a late-stage Easter Islands form of existence, and, ultimately literally and figuratively (via disease, subversion, marauding, deprivation, war, etc.), will cannibalize itself into extinction. Humans are organisms and the products and subjects of nature like any other animal and will go the way of nature as do all other species of nature. Unlike the cognitively and technologically less endowed species, the more so endowed humans can exercise more will, or choice of direction, and can take control over their global home's, the Earth's, intermediate destiny benignly but definitively while a brief time permits us to do so.

holdren is 100% right,we need less people.funny how extreme poverty countries have so many kids. you´d think the human body could not produce semen under those starving conditions,filth etc.or that a woman could bring a pregnancy to it´s sad completion-a child bound to grow with no clean water,hunger,desease,no chances of anything in life really.
but because sex with no children bearing would be a prize for drug addicts and irresponsible people,and many ilness would result in sex with no pregnancy risk,there should also be some kind of "x" ....help me here readers...

Let me be the person who tells the drunk crackhead mother of 5 who has had 20 boyfriends in the past 5 months that she will be forced to have her tubes tied.

I'm sorry but I have seen so many sad, sad people have kids when they shouldnt have. And I have watched those kids grow up, I have watched those kids go through things that no kid should ever have to be put through. These kids usually die, or are thrown in prison, and live rather depressing lives.

Of course who are we to decide who is fit to breed and who isn't. Hell, I am a homosexual and in an "ideal" world, I shouldn't be aloud to breed. As long as someone is never described as undesirable due to race, religion, sexuality, and other factors out of their contol, then yes, maybe there should be some people who aren't aloud to breed.

We should all take it in to account that this is a subject we will never all agree on.

Personally, I would rather not watch North America overpopulate with idiot extremists who's actions and very existance are detrimental to the progression of mankind.

As long as there is love, then I say, let them eat cake.
