President Biden on Sunday night issued a pardon for his son Hunter Biden, even though he previously pledged that he "will not pardon him." "In June, Biden categorically ruled out a pardon or commutation for his son, telling reporters as his son faced trial in the Delaware gun case, 'I abide by the jury decision. I will do that and I will not pardon him,' " the AP notes. Biden pardoned him anyways, sparing him "a possible prison sentence for federal felony gun and tax convictions," the AP reports. As recently as Nov. 8, days after Trump’s victory, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre ruled out a pardon or clemency for the younger Biden, saying, "We’ve been asked that question multiple times. Our answer stands, which is no."Here's the full statement Biden released on WhiteHouse.gov: Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter. From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted. Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently. There is no question the charges against Hunter were politically motivated -- Trump himself predicted in June 2023 that Hunter would be charged with "something small" to make "the strike" from Merrick Garland's corrupt DOJ on him "look fair." That said, the freakout we are already hearing from Repubilicans is absolutely laughable considering they all looked the other way (or actively cheered) while Trump pardoned a host of the worst Chabadnik super-criminals in American history.
As I reported on Saturday, Trump appointed Jared Kushner's crooked father to be our ambassador to France after granting him a pardon for his corrupt witness tampering plot involving hiring a prostitute to seduce and secretly film his own brother-in-law. Another one of the crooks Trump pardoned, Ponzi schemer Eliyahu Weinstein, left prison and swiftly went to work on another Ponzi scheme together with a buddy in Israel! A truly sick bastard Trump commuted was Democrat megadonor Salomon Melgen, an eye doctor who stole $73 million from Medicare "by persuading elderly patients to undergo excruciating tests and treatments they didn't need for diseases they didn't have." All the pundits you're going to hear crying about Hunter Biden's pardon had nothing to say about that corruption. As I reported in September, Biden is being urged to posthumously pardon Ethel Rosenberg, the Jewish communist spy who together with her husband Julius Rosenberg leaked America's nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union. The Daily Mail ran a lie-filled propaganda piece shilling for Rosenberg to get a pardon on Saturday. So far, unlike Trump, Biden hasn't pardoned any super-criminals or traitors to America but it will be interesting to see if he does. Something tells me a pardon for Rosenberg wouldn't generate anywhere near the outrage from the GOP establishment as this pardon for Hunter!
