The Trump campaign's official Trump War Room X account on Tuesday shared an edgy meme warning, "Import the third world, become the third world." In the meme, "Your neighborhood under Trump" features a nice clean pair of houses with an American flag outside and "Your neighborhood under Kamala" shows a large group of African migrants loitering in a city square.
I believe the saying "Import the third world, become the third world" was coined by Steve Sailor over a decade ago. Is the Trump campaign finally getting serious about winning? As I see it, this is the start of his campaign and the first thing I've seen which appeals to me in any way. Of course, it only comes now because poll after poll is showing Trump losing. Trump's campaign managers, Suzie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, thought he was going to win in a landslide by replacing white "Karens" with "Jamals and Enriques" but as soon as Kamala Harris was swapped in for Biden it became clear that identity politics trumps all.
If they actually want to win back the white voters they lost in 2020, they're going to need to put forward serious policy proposals and not just empty rhetoric.
