Former President Donald Trump on Friday disavowed the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 transition plan which sought to "decimate the deep state" and staff the government with conservatives. The plan was being touted by Trump's acolytes to assure his followers that he wouldn't repeat all the same staffing mistakes he made in his first term. "I know nothing about Project 2025," Trump said on Truth Social. "I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they're saying and some of the things they're saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them." Trump "knows nothing" about Project 2025 just like he "knows nothing" about Wikileaks!
"Project 2025 outlines a dramatic expansion of presidential power and a plan to fire as many as 50,000 government workers to replace them with Trump loyalists," the AP noted. "Trump has outlined his own plans to remake the government if he wins a second term, including staging the largest deportation operation in U.S. history and imposing tariffs on potentially all imports. His campaign has previously warned outside allies not to presume to speak for the former president and suggested their transition-in-waiting efforts were unhelpful." Trump's disavowal came after leftists threw a fit over Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts telling Steve Bannon's "War Room" that conservatives are "in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be."
There's no evidence Trump is planning to do anything "revolutionary" and every reason to believe his second term will be far worse than his first. Trump is not interested in "decimating the deep state" -- he himself said he's running to ensure the Israel Lobby has complete and total control over our Congress.
