The Southern Poverty Law Center laid off a quarter of their staff on Wednesday -- even though the notoriously money-hungry nonprofit has "nearly a billion dollars in reserves."

"[T]oday, SPLC -- my employer -- laid off over 60 of our union members, essentially shuttering multiple departments," the SPLC's Hannah Gais, who describes herself as a "journalist" and "researcher" said on Twitter. "[S]peaking in a personal capacity, [I] endorse each and every single word of this statement from our union. [A]n organization with this much money has no excuse."

"How will today's layoffs help us achieve our goals of fighting hate, decarcerating Black and Brown people, defending democracy, and eradicating poverty?" the SPLC Union lamented on Twitter.

It won't. They're just going to focus everything on canceling critics of Israel.

This is what's at the top of their "Hatewatch" page right now:

They also have a hilarious article trying to paint Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Charlie Kirk and other pro-Israel influencers as "anti-Semitic."

Their audience is mostly liberals who support the protests but their wealthy donors are mostly Zionists, producing such convoluted nonsense is their attempt to please them both!
