![]() ![]() Krugman wrote in his column that "the truth is that while white rural rage is arguably the single greatest threat facing American democracy, I have no good ideas about how to fight it." The book's synopsis says that "Schaller and Waldman provocatively critique both the structures that permit rural Whites' disproportionate influence over American governance and the prospects for creating a pluralist, inclusive democracy that delivers policy solutions that benefit rural communities." How nice of Krugman, Waldman and Schaller to lecture us on "disproportionate influence."
