US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Israel on Thursday, met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and cited the Holocaust and his own Jewishness to push for war with Gaza.
"I come before you, not only as the United States Secretary of State, but also as a Jew," Blinken said to Netanyahu during a press conference. "My grandfather, Maurice Blinken fled pogroms in Russia. My stepfather, Samuel Pisar, survived concentration camps: Auschwitz, Dachau, Majdanek. So, Prime Minister, I understand, on a personal level, the harrowing echoes that Hamas's massacres carry for Israeli Jews, indeed, for Jews everywhere." "I also come before you as a husband and father of young children. It's impossible for me to look at the photos of families killed and not think of my own children," Blinken continued. "This was just one of Hamas's countless acts of terror." "The message that I bring to Israel is this: you may be strong enough on your own to defend yourself, but as long as America exists, you will never, ever have to," Blinken said. "We will always be there by your side." "We're delivering on our word, supplying ammunition, interceptors to replenish Israel's Iron Dome alongside other defense material," Blinken added. "The first shipments of US military support have already arrived in Israel and more is on the way." President Biden on Wednesday declared that he saw "confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children" only to have the White House walk it back hours later and admit he saw no such thing. "The president based his comments about the alleged atrocities on the claims from Netanyahu's spokesman and media reports from Israel, according to the White House," the Washington Post reported.
Both of their comments come as Israel has cut off all electricity, food, water and fuel supplies to the over two million Gazans living under brutal Israeli occupation and embarked on an unprecedented bombing campaign reigning endless hellfire down on civilians with bombs paid for by US taxpayers.
Attorney General Merrick Garland last month similarly invoked the Holocaust during testimony before Congress to defend his policies of prosecuting and persecuting his political opponents and argued his Jewish "family background" means he's immune to wrongdoing. "The idea that someone with my family background would discriminate against any religion is so outrageous -- so absurd," Garland declared after being asked by New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew why his FBI/DOJ targeting traditional Catholics as "violent extremists."
Ben Shapiro, who is demanding Americans support Israel's war and calling for Hamas to be "wiped off the face of the earth," also invoked the Holocaust to justify war. The Holocaust is being used not as a warning to prevent genocide but as a war cry to conduct genocide. Follow InformationLiberation on Twitter, Facebook, Gab, Minds and Telegram. |
