Putin 'Moved to Secure Location' After Wagner Chief Prigozhin Threatens Military Coup to Overthrow Russian MoD

Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin on Friday threatened to stage a military coup against Russia's Ministry of Defense using his personal 25,000-strong mercenary army.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly been moved to a secure location and the FSB has opened a criminal case against Prigozhin for "incitement to an armed rebellion."

Prigozhin claimed earlier today that a Wagner camp was hit by the Russian military.


The Russian MoD denied his claims, writing: "All messages and video footage spread on social networks on behalf of Yevgeny Prigozhin about the alleged 'strike by the Russian Defense Ministry on the rear camps of Wagner PMCs' do not correspond to reality and are an informational provocation."


Regardless, Prigozhin is using it as a cover to try and launch a coup attempt.

Ateo Breaking said on their own channel that they "think it's fireworks."



It certainly sounds like it could be fireworks but who knows at this point (take all breaking reports with a grain of salt).
