IG Michael Horowitz Investigating Trump For Abuses After Exonerating Russiagate Plotters

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who Trump supporters were led to believe was going to "bring down the deep state," instead chose to exonerate the deep state and is now working to bring down Donald Trump and his allies.

Back in September 2018, President Trump moved to declassify everything related to the Russiagate hoax only to swiftly cave to pressure from the FBI and change course to allow Inspector General Michael Horowitz to screen everything he wanted to declassify and make the final call on what to release.

Trump supporters were led to believe by the Q-Anon psy-op and Sean Hannity that Horowitz was going to "bring down the deep state" but instead he stalled for around 16 months before releasing his much-hyped "Horowitz report" that exonerated Russiagate plotters of any criminal wrongdoing and declared that the FBI was biased in favor of Trump.

AG William Barr then handed the ball off to John Durham who ran down the clock until Trump was ousted from the White House and Durham to this day has still produced nothing.

Today, Horowitz is still working as IG under Attorney General Merrick Garland but instead of doing nothing and running down the clock he's actively investigating the Trump administration to dig up any dirt he can find.

As The Hill reported earlier this month:
DOJ to probe Trump-era subpoenas of lawmaker records

BY REBECCA BEITSCH AND SCOTT WONG - 06/11/21 02:09 PM EDT

The Justice Department's internal watchdog will investigate the secret seizure of data from Democratic lawmakers and reporters during leak investigations initiated under the Trump administration.

The probe follows news of a department decision in 2017 and 2018 to issue subpoenas seeking metadata from House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and fellow committee member Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) during leak investigations.

In recent weeks, the Department of Justice (DOJ) also notified reporters at three different outlets their records were sought in similar investigations and dropped the gag orders limiting disclosure of the seizure.

"The review will examine the Department's compliance with applicable DOJ policies and procedures, and whether any such uses, or the investigations, were based upon improper considerations," Michael Horowitz, DOJ's inspector general, said in a Friday statement.
From Tuesday in The Hill:
Garland dismisses broad review of politicization of DOJ under Trump

BY CELINE CASTRONUOVO - 06/22/21 09:12 PM EDT

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday expressed hesitancy at launching a broad review of the Trump administration's politicization of the Department of Justice (DOJ), citing separate investigations already underway and concerns of potential claims of bias.

While answering questions from reporters, Garland noted that the department's inspector general, Michael Horowitz, earlier this month had announced plans to review reports that the DOJ under former President Trump had subpoenaed Apple for metadata on House Democrats and seized journalists' phone records in probes of classified information leaks.

Garland added Tuesday that launching a comprehensive review into the actions of his department under the previous administration was a "complicated question," according to The New York Times.

"I don't want the department's career people to think that a new group comes in and immediately applies a political lens," President Biden’s attorney general added.

Instead, Garland said it was Horowitz's job "to look at these things."
Horowitz is in charge of the political witch hunt but Garland doesn't want to give the impression that he's involved in it!

You just can't make this stuff up!

If Horowitz wasn't in bed with the regime, Biden would have purged him day one like he did with everyone else (excluding FBI director Christopher Wray, of course)!
"He's very good at this — let us know when there are problems and what changes should be made, if they should be," he continued, according to the Times. "I don't want to prejudge anything. It's just not fair to the current employees."

The House Judiciary Committee has also launched a probe into the subpoenas and has asked the DOJ to turn over a number of documents related to the records seized.

The inspector general probes also come amid Horowitz's ongoing investigation into whether Justice Department officials attempted to use the agency to undo the results of the 2020 presidential election, which Trump has repeatedly claimed was "stolen" from him based on unsupported allegations of widespread fraud.

His office is also looking into the sudden resignation and replacement of the U.S. attorney representing the Northern District of Georgia, Byung J. Pak.

Pak had stepped down after being criticized by Trump as a "never Trumper U.S. attorney" on the former president's infamous call with Georgia's secretary of state, during which Trump asked officials to "find" more than 11,000 votes that would have allowed him to defeat Biden in the Peach State.
How rich is it going to be when Horowitz' new report comes out calling for Trump and all his allies to be indicted?

Adam Schiff, Chuck Schumer, Rod Rosenstein and the rest of the gang must be laughing their asses off!

I guess "trusting the scam" wasn't the greatest idea!
