Tucker: Trump Must Label Violent Rioters And Statue Topplers As Domestic Terrorists

Tucker Carlson on Thursday night told President Trump he's going to lose his reelection bid if he doesn't use the power of the state to prosecute the criminals filmed rioting all over America, toppling statues and defacing symbols of Jesus Christ and Christianity.

From Mediaite:
The Fox News host on Thursday called the ongoing unrest a "national crisis" that is "designed to produce a national result, the destruction of our system of government and the removal of Donald Trump."

"People expect a president to respond to a moment like this to fix it and they have a right to expect that. The president runs the country," Carlson said. "If the rioters were Saudi nationals, it would be very clear there was nothing local about what we are watching. He would understand immediately it is terrorism. The president would give a prime time address. Within hours, the feds would be hunting these people down and arresting them. They would be in prison facing life. So the question is, why isn't the Justice Department responding like this? It's not clear."

"Attorney General Bill Barr says he is overseeing 500 separate investigations into rioters. Good for him," Carlson said. "Presumably one of them is in Washington, took place last Saturday it was on live television. So far, no one has been arrested for it. It would change the course of this country's future if the Justice Department rounded up the leaders of Antifa tomorrow along with every single person caught on camera torching a building, destroying a monument, defacing a church, and put them all in shackles and then frog marched them in front of cameras like MS-13 and called them what they actually are, domestic terrorists. Not protesters, not civil rights activist, not CNN contributors, but domestic terrorists."

[...] "Everyone supports protesters. This is America," he added. "We believe in protests, but watch what happens when you start calling them what they really are. Most people don't like terrorists. Terrorists will never be popular even among Democratic voters. So charge them for the crimes they've committed and call them what they are. Right now, the opposite is happening. The terrorists are more popular than the President of the United States and not just more popular than Donald Trump personally, but more popular than the system he represents and administers, and it is obvious why. Our system is weak. It refuses to defend itself."

"Weak institutions die, citizens develop contempt for them, and then they get overthrown," he continued, before equating the nationwide protests to a rebellion. "The same is true for heads of state. When you refuse to fight for the system you run, you're done. Spend an hour on Google and see if you can find a single leader in the history of the world who stayed in power after failing to quell a rebellion. You can't. The saddest part of all of this, is that our system is very much worth saving. it administers justice more fairly than any system in the world. We want to keep that system, we have to use that system, and that means enforcing America's laws with certainty, enforcing them right now, at the moment of greatest peril. If we don't do it now, we never will do it."
It's unquestionably true that most Republican "leaders" have no internal constitution and little to no will to survive.

They've internalized every liberal premise for the last 100 years and all they'll midly fight to "conserve" is the liberalism of two months ago.

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, for example, isn't afraid to stand up for Israel but he is terrified to stand up for America even as the nation burns.

He'll organize the GOP to oust Iowa Rep. Steve King over comments he made in defense of Western civilization that King insists were misquoted by the New York Times but he won't take any aggressive steps to push back against the mob.

Instead, he has decided to kneel to it.

He'll push for a police reform bill from Senator Tim Scott amidst widespread rioting but he hasn't pushed forward any bills to protect our nation's monuments.

After Trump's disastrous rally in Tulsa, he finally seemed to realize he needs to get his head out of his rear and do something if he wants to win so he is reportedly moving to sign two solid executive orders, one to defend our nation's monuments and another to suspend some work visas amidst massive unemployment.

Will he actually follow through this time? If we judge by the past the answer would be a definitive, "No."

That said, he can see the polls and the empty stands so he's going to have to make a choice. Hopefully, it won't be too little too late.

As Tucker noted, Trump had an incredible opportunity to force through the agenda he ran on with the corona-crisis and these riots but he chose to do nothing but tweet instead.

Regardless, Tucker has been absolutely on fire lately and the way he's taking so many centrist and populist positions on so many issues and lost a bunch of weight makes me think he's looking at running in 2024.

He has been bringing in over 4 million viewers a night and getting millions of views on his segments posted to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

We're already living in post-America and there's no reason to expect these trends are going to shift any time soon but there's good reason to suspect these riots will lead to the biggest backlash ever in our nation's history.

If Obama was the backlash to eight disastrous years of Bush, and Trump was the backlash to eight disastrous years of Obama, and these riots and deep state color revolution are the backlash to just three years of Trump, the backlash that comes next could be massive.

For all we know, Tucker Carlson could become the Supreme Commander of the New Republic of America with Vice Commander Elon Musk at his side!
