British Prime Minister Boris Johnson last month followed the World Health Organization's advice that "stigma" is more dangerous than the coronavirus itself and virtue signalled about how he "shook hands with everybody" at a hospital treating coronavirus patients.

A few weeks later, he came down with the coronavirus and today he was admitted into intensive care.

From The Hill, "Boris Johnson moved to intensive care as coronavirus symptoms worsen":
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after being hospitalized Sunday with coronavirus, the prime minister's office said Monday.

"Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital," a spokesperson said, adding that Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has been deputized to assume his duties in the meantime.
"Stigma" is just self-preservation instinct.
