The suspected flyer poster is "not believed to be a threat" and police admit "the flyers don't appear to be a crime because no property was destroyed" but they want to harass him anyways.

From AP:
Authorities are searching for a man believed to have posted "It's Okay To Be White" flyers at the Oklahoma City University School of Law.

UCU Police Director Bill Citty told The Oklahoman that the flyers were posted Thursday and police believe they have identified the man.

Citty said the man is not believed to be a threat to students or the campus, but investigators are trying to determine his intent and whether the actions are a hate crime. Citty said the flyers don't appear to be a crime because no property was destroyed.

Law school Dean Jim Roth said OCU is "intentional and relentless" in supporting diversity and the hatred and exclusion "will not be tolerated."
I believe it was Barry Goldwater who said,"Extremism in defense of diversity and inclusiveness is no vice."

(Don't quote me on that!)

It wouldn't shock me if they want to charge this guy with "defacing" property and this is just a ploy to get him to turn himself in.

Judging by the fact they say they want to "determine his intent," they're probably looking to hit him with "malicious intimidation" charges ("ethnic intimidation" in other states) if they can trick him into incriminating himself.

If you're not being charged with a crime, which this man so far is not, there's absolutely no reason to talk to the police.
