CNN host Jake Tapper on Tuesday attempted to smear Senator Josh Hawley as an anti-Semite because he called a journalist a "smug, rich liberal elitist."
"For defending my homestate of Missouri, liberal media have called me 'phony,' 'ugly,' 'smarmy,' a racist and now an anti-Semite," Hawley responded. "All in 24 hrs. This is how they bully those who aren’t part of the DC club. But I don’t care what slurs they use, I will ALWAYS defend Missouri."
After being called out for clearly trying to smear Hawley as an anti-Semite, Tapper amazingly both doubled down and dodged the issue at the same time:
