Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a made-for-US-TV PowerPoint presentation in English on Monday where he appealed directly to President Donald Trump to cancel the Iran nuclear deal and claimed to have evidence showing Iran continued its nuclear weapons program in secret. The move comes just one day after Israel is believed to have launched a deadly strike on ammunition depots in Syria supposedly linked to Iran. From RT: Iran lied about its nuclear program, making the 2015 deal invalid, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a televised address from Tel Aviv, using big-screen presentation slides and video. Though Iran claimed it never had a nuclear weapons program, “100,000 secret files prove it did,” Netanyahu said. After the 2015 nuclear deal, Iran “continued to preserve and expand its nuclear weapons knowledge” for future use.Netanyahu appealed directly to President Trump at the end of his presentation, saying: "I'm sure he'll do the right thing. The right thing for the US. The right thing for Israel. And the right thing for the peace of the world." After speaking for 17 minutes in English to appeal to Americans, Netanyahu only spoke for less than two minutes at the end of his presentation to his own people in Hebrew. Incidentally, Israel has had its own secret nuclear weapons program since the 1960's. Unlike Iran, they've used it to develop some 200 nuclear bombs which they refuse to acknowledge exist as they're in violation of US non-proliferation law. Netanyahu has a long history of crying wolf about Iran's nuclear weapons.
Every indicator suggests this is about dragging the US into a war with Iran for Israel's security. Trump, so far, appears to be going along with it.
