Cops Kill Innocent Black Man Merely for 'Pointing a Gun at Them'! #AlvaBraziel

This shooting out of Houston currently triggering mass outrage on Twitter has to be the worst case of police brutality I've ever seen!

38-year-old Alva Braziel was murdered in cold blood this morning merely for pointing a gun at some cops!

What is this world coming to when you can't aim a gun at some cops without them shooting you?!

Police fatally shot an African-American in the early hours of Saturday in Houston, Texas. The man, identified by media as Alva Braziel, was reportedly shot ten times after he pointed his gun at law enforcement.

Video footage of the aftermath shows his wife explaining what happened before breaking down. “It ain’t alright that’s he’s laying on the street dead out there,” she said. “They don’t care. Please ... get him up off the ground.”



Houston Police Department said that two officers killed an armed man early Saturday morning, and that they were wearing body cameras at the time, ABC 13 reports.

The shooting took place at about 12:40am on Cullen. According to the police, they spotted a man on the road with a revolver. When they asked him to put the gun down, he reportedly raised the gun in the air before pointing it at police.

Texas is an open carry state.
I'm glad they noted Texas allowed open carry. Despite Braziel being a convicted felon (more below) and it being entirely illegal for him to have a gun, he was probably just open carrying in full accordance with the law.
Police said that this prompted them to fire multiple shots at Braziel, who died at the scene. A nearby gas station has footage of the incident, which police stated will confirm what happened.

A police spokesperson, Jodi Silva, revealed the police account of what happens in the footage when Braziel is asked to lower the weapon. "He instead deliberately and slowly lowers his arm and allows it to come to a stop at his waist," Silve said. "Now the gun is pointed directly at officers."

According to his wife, Braziel had gone outside that night because, “somebody stole his horse.”

Both officers have been in the force for more than a decade and are reported to be Hispanic.

He was a good and loving family man, no doubt he was just about to start college.

Braziel was a felon and was not authorized to have a weapon. Since 2000, Braziel has faced more than a dozen criminal charges in Harris County – mostly drug possession cases but also burglary of a vehicle, resisting arrest and evading detention.

...Braziel had been cited at least two times about firearms by Harris County authorities and spent time in a Texas prison for drug offenses.

In mid-June 2001, he was charged with the unlawful carry of a weapon. According to court records, he accepted a plea bargain and was sentenced to 60 days in the Harris County Jail.

Two weeks later, he faced a felony charge for possession of phencyclidine, known as PCP or angel dust. He pleaded guilty in a plea bargain and was sentenced to six months in prison. That appears to be the conviction that made him a felon.

He was charged as a felon in possession of a weapon in 2004, but that case was dismissed.
Don't believe the media telling you his criminal history, this is all just a government conspiracy to con people into believing African-Americans commit crimes.
