Murfreesboro, TN — A video uploaded to YouTube Saturday epitomizes the reason why police departments nationwide are losing the trust of the ones they ostensibly “protect.” In fact the very idea that police protect you is a misconception as they will seldom prevent violence. They normally show up after the violence or crime has been committed and then try and find a culprit, or not. The average response time to a 9-1-1 call is 10 minutes nationwide. In some cases the dispatchers do not even take the caller seriously and the victim ends up dead, when a crime could have actually been prevented. The reality is that police act as revenue collectors for the state and are there to enforce the law only. They most assuredly do not "protect and serve." If you doubt this claim simply refer to Warren v. District of Columbia, in which the Supreme Court ruled that the police do not have a constitutional duty to protect a person from harm. The officer in the video below affirms this obligation to uphold “the law,” no matter its morality. When one of the men filming asks the officer if he swore an oath to uphold the constitution, the officer says yes but his job is to enforce the law only. This obligation to enforce the laws, no matter how unscrupulous, encourages police officers to lie and deceive otherwise good people. In the video below this deception is rife throughout. The makers of the video, purplehat1991, describe the details of this incident: The day after Thanksgiving, police checkpoints took place all around Tennessee, where they manufacture probable cause with false drug dog alerts, saying “I smell alcohol,” etc. . . in order to force people into detainment. They also have a trailer nearby to strap people down and forcibly take their blood without their consent.Without further ado, here are another myriad of reasons of why not to trust police. Make sure to watch it all the way to the end. |
