 Marc Faber of http://www.gloomboomdoom.com was interviewed on Bloomberg Tv on 5th August 2011. He mentioned that the current leg down is not really a major market selloff. That being said, he also said that 'whereby as of today, the markets are extremely oversold'. He thinks that there could be a 'snap back' rally that does not register a new high (on the major US equity indices). Moreover, he can already 'smell QE3'!
