Paul Joseph Watson Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern confronted Donald Rumsfeld on why he lied about weapons of mass destruction in a speech Thursday and was almost ejected from the conference room by security after Rumsfeld again deceptively claimed he never said Iraq had WMD. The video has already gone viral on the Internet. "Why did you lie to get us into a war that caused these kind of casualties and was not necessary?" said McGovern. As soon as McGovern starts to ask the question Rumsfeld murmurs and you can see his beady eyes dart to the back of the room in the direction of the security guards who start to move towards McGovern. This proves the event was totally scripted because Rumsfeld is obviously scared stiff about the fact that McGovern has been allowed to speak. Rumsfeld: ...it appears that there were not weapons of mass destruction there. McGovern: You said you knew where they were. Rumsfeld: I did not. I said I knew where suspect sites were and... McGovern: You said you knew where they were. Tikrit, Baghdad, northeast, south, west of there. Those are your words. Rumsfeld: My words-my words were that-no-no, wait a minute--wait a minute. Let him stay one second. Just a second.... At this point McGovern is heard to say, "this is America," and according to CNN, security guards attempted to grab McGovern and eject him from the room. Rumsfeld waved them off to save face. Here you see the security guard in the blue cap near McGovern after attempting to remove him. The crowd, which is always carefully selected to ensure majority support for whichever Bush administration talking head takes the podium, applaud Rumsfeld's answers and are also heard to cheer the attempt to remove McGovern from the room. Earlier protests within the room were met with responses of "we don't want to hear it," and "throw her out." Here the security guard in the blue cap blocks the camera shot as he moves back to the far end of the room, exactly where Rumsfeld was seen to glance repeatedly as soon as McGovern went off script and started talking. Audiences that are not pre-screened for subservience produce a very different reaction. Such as the Washington Nationals baseball crowd, 80% of which booed Dick Cheney even as he walked out on the field with injured Iraq veterans. Here are Rumsfeld's words as spoken in an interview with ABC News. "We know where they [WMD] are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." To repeat.... McGovern: You said you knew where they were. Rumsfeld: I did not. Though you wouldn't know it from the reaction of the befuddled boot-licking idiots who applauded Rumsfeld during the speech, he has been caught lying to the American people in public again and should immediately resign. Rumsfeld has been caught trying to change history in the past. In the video below, an appearance on Face The Nation, you will witness Rumsfeld stumble over his words as he is proven to be a complete liar in claiming that he never said Iraq was an imminent threat. The exchange continued. Rumsfeld: You’re getting plenty of play, sir. McGovern: I’d just like an honest answer. Rumsfeld: I’m giving it to you. McGovern: Well we’re talking about lies and your allegation there was bulletproof evidence of ties between al Qaeda and Iraq. Rumsfeld: Zarqawi was in Baghdad during the prewar period. That is a fact. McGovern: Zarqawi? He was in the north of Iraq in a place where Saddam Hussein had no rule. That’s also… Rumsfeld: He was also in Baghdad. McGovern: Yes, when he needed to go to the hospital. Come on, these people aren’t idiots. They know the story. Rumsfeld then tries to deflect McGovern's criticism onto the troops and the exchange ends. Again, the reaction of the audience makes it appear as if Rumsfeld somehow won the debate. He didn't, he lied again and the ABC news quote proves it. That will circulate through tomorrow and Ray McGovern will be commended for delivering another sucker-punch to this dirty criminal administration in the face of a hostile Neo-Con peanut gallery audience who profess to love 'liberation' yet bayed for McGovern to be kicked out just for asking a question. |
