President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, "intervened" to stop the President from joining the free speech Twitter alternative Gab after he was banned from every major social media platform, according to a report from CNN.
From CNN: Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner intervened when other officials tried restoring the President's social media presence on sites that are often havens for extremists, such as Gab, following an unprecedented ban from several major platforms. The other accounts Trump got on were swiftly banned -- in a humiliating fashion. Gab shared a few tweets on Saturday which people took as an indicator Trump was going to join the site.
Andrew Torba, the CEO of Gab had said earlier in the day that he was going to have a "big call with someone very special today" and asked everyone to "say a prayer."
As I reported last week, Kushner appears to be looking to cash in with $100 million in kickbacks by selling bonds in Israel and he and his brother both recently bought properties in Miami worth a collective $53.5 million.
