Twitter censored President Trump's tweet on mobilizing the National Guard to stop the riots in Minneapolis for "glorying violence" because he said that "when the looting starts, the shooting starts." A message was put up at around 3am on Friday morning blocking the tweet that states: "This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about glorifying violence. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public's interest for the Tweet to remain accessible." Users have to manually click "view" to see the tweet.
For the time being, it's able to be viewed when embedded on other pages.
Though they censored Trump's tweet on authorizing the National Guard to use violence to protect people in Minneapolis, these tweets explicitly calling for violence in support of the riots were allowed to go mega viral with no similar warning label.
This should tell you a lot about how seriously Twitter is taking President Trump's toothless executive order against social media censorship that he signed just hours ago. UPDATE:
