The acting director of King County's "All Home" homelessness agency resigned over the weekend after being placed on paid leave for hiring a transgender stripper to perform at an annual conference on solving homelessness. From The Seattle Times, "Homeless agency director resigns after dancer strips at Seattle homelessness conference": Acting director Kira Zylstra resigned over the weekend, a county spokesperson told The Seattle Times in an email Monday.Judging by the cheers in the audience and the way they threw dollars bills at twerking stripper Beyoncé Black St. James, I'm not sure I would say it was "inappropriate for the conference."
Beyoncé Black St. James seemed to fit right in. After all, the theme of the conference was reportedly "decolonizing our collective work."
