Irwin Schiff’s crusade against the Federal Income Tax came to an end last Friday when he lost his battle with cancer inside the walls of a Federal Prison at the age of 87. Schiff was a personal hero of mine. He was a man of conviction who believed so strongly that the federal income tax was not only illegal, but void as written, that he ultimately died fighting for his cause. The United States empire and it’s rigged court system ultimately won by shutting up another political dissident. After all, it was not Irwin Schiff the man that was dangerous, it was his ideas. Last year I decided to write Schiff a letter asking for an opportunity to interview him on camera and to my surprise I received a hand written reply several weeks later. Schiff pointed out the fact that the prison would never let me interview him with a camera as their entire goal was to shut him up.
