A 16-yr-old student committed suicide after a school cop and his principle told him he had ruined his life and would never get into college after he and a few friends were caught smelling like marijuana at their homecoming dance. From FOX 43: GENEVA, OH — A sophomore at an Ohio High School took his own life, and some people are blaming the actions of school officials for his death. A fellow student caught up in the same disciplinary morass posted the following letter on social media: View post on imgur.com For their part, the boys' parents said they don't blame the school: The Long family has asked that the district post this message to help eliminate any negative publicity. Emily and Michael in no way blame the school system and are offended that some others are speaking for them. The family of Hayden Long would like to thank the support of the Geneva community, especially the Geneva Area City Schools for their support during this difficult time. Our president was an admitted marijuana smoker for years, it sure as hell didn't ruin his life. |
