AVONDALE, AZ (CBS5) - A Goodyear police officer is accused of recording at least 21 women while they were undressing in an Avondale tanning salon. One of the victims reported seeing a camera phone on top of the dividing wall separating the tanning salon rooms as she undressed, Avondale police spokesman Sgt. Mathew Hintz said. After her report, police discovered there were an additional 20 women who were recorded. "He was reaching over on some of the videos and attempting to record the females while they were undressing or getting dressed," said Hintz. "There were also some videos where he was recording through the partition door." The suspect was identified as 44-year-old Jeffrey Streeter and arrested on Wednesday. He was booked on 31 counts of Surreptitious Recording and one count of tampering with physical evidence, police said. Hintz said Streeter is currently employed as a police officer with the City of Goodyear and has been working in their investigations division. Read More |
