CA Police Chief: Guns Are Not a Defensive Weapon

He is inadvertently admitting his police goons carry guns as offensive tools of intimidation, rather than for self-defense. - Chris
Earlier this month, California police boss Ken James said as part of the concerted effort to wreck the Second Amendment that guns are not used for self-defense.

“One issue that always boggles my mind is that the idea that a gun is a defensive weapon,” James said. “That is a myth. A gun is not a defensive weapon.”

He then went on to describe how police use guns.

“A gun is an offensive weapon used to intimidate and show power. Police officers don’t carry a gun as a defensive weapon to defend themselves or their other officers. They carry a gun to be able to do their job in a safe and effective manner and face any oppositions we may come upon.”

7630 The one thing that everyone that believes that "gun regulation" will only help end gun violence forget is that the sheer randomness of gun ownership-the fact that no paticular person knows who owns what firearms-is the one factor that helps to keep the crime rate lower. Gun ownership is at an all time high. Violent crimes are at an all time low. Go figure.

166137 7630, your blanket statement regarding the inverse relationship between gun ownership and violent crime is totally off base. Please do comprehensive research on the topic and stop parrotting the same few sentences that are stated on blogs.

Do your own research and look at the two major universities in Colorado. One allows concealed carry and one doesn't. Can you guess which has an increase in crime and violence and which didn't?
Duh, just duh. Progressive Liberal Democrat Dingbats using emotions instead of logic and FACTS.
