Another Family Business Destroyed: Morningland Dairy Raw Milk Cheese Raided

Moriningland Dairy, a family business that has been in operation for over 30 years without a single complaint or report of any illness has ceased today. The over two year battle they've had with the Missouri Milk Board ended today with a raid and confiscation of over 250 thousand dollars of inventory seized by the state. As a result of the legal stipulations put on Morningland Dairy which are impossible to comply with they will no longer be able to produce their product.

The real crime they are being persecuted for is producing cheese with raw milk. Whether the state wants to admit it or not that is what their real charge is and that in itself is criminal.

This should be the shot heard 'round the rural world. What has been done to this family is a travesty of justice. Their livelihood has been destroyed. These are good people who ran an honest business. How much more tyranny will we tolerate before we tell the state, Enough!

If we would have had a strong Constitutionally minded Sheriff in Howell County Missouri this would never have been allowed to happen. Sheriff Mike Shannon, where were you? Why didn't you return any calls or emails? Why did you send your deputies to assist in this theft? We would like some answers.

For more on Morningland you can do a simple search on the search engine of your choice or follow this link.

Here is a video made from that day of the Howell County Missouri Sheriff's Department

Correction: In this original title caption it was reported 39 tons of inventory were confiscated. That number was incorrect. The exact weight of inventory confiscated was 36,420 LBS or 18.2 tons, NOT 39. I apologize for that. I am going to keep this original video up but make sure that correct number is reported per this disclaimer. Thank You.

Morningland Dairy's two and a half year battle with the Missouri State Milk Board ended Friday, January 25, 2013

Clearly, Mike Shannon, Sheriff of Howell County needs to be educated on the authority of his office and his Oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Sheriff Mike Shannon was not on site at all during the confiscation of 18.2 tons of inventory but he did dispatch 5 deputies to Morningland Dairy that morning to execute and aid in the confiscation and the destruction of Morningland Dairy cheese. The Sheriffs Department representatives on scene that morning were led by Lt. Al Jones.

During the process the Howell Co. Sheriffs department demanded IDs from peaceful supports, swatted a camera of one supporter, and in an attempt at some sort of "Pre-Crime" or was it intimidation, they took photographs of all the supporters of the Dixon's and Morningland Dairy, and our vehicle license plates.

Four out of five Sheriff Department officials refused to answer the question, "If ordered to do so would you confiscate the firearms of law abiding citizens?" Only Sheriff Deputy Reed gave a satisfactory answer.

Sheriff Shannon, you should lead from the front and begin to understand your job is to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of Missouri. It is not to enforce and assist out of control federal and state agencies in theft while hiding behind clearly unconstitutional court orders. Following orders is no excuse. That was proven at Nuremberg Trials.

I encourage you Sheriff Mike Shannon to read Sheriff Richard Mack's book, "The County Sheriff: America's Last Hope" and begin to understand what your real responsibilities and authority are. You can contact the Howell County Missouri Sheriff's Department and let them know just how you feel about this issue at the following link:

Keep in mind folks, had any supporter on site swatted the camera out of the hand of one of the deputies they would have been arrested for assault without question. That said we feel that given the peaceful nature of the people there in support of Morningland Dairy and the questions they posed to the officers many of their eyes may have begun to open.

It's time for you to lead Sheriff Mike Shannon and lead from the front. It's never too late and if you do the people will get behind you. Look at the following link and see how a real Constitutional Sheriff would have handled this situation.

7513 Too bad the local militia didn't come and round up the traitors, kill em, and feed them to the hogs. Thats what needs to happen to end the tyranny.

76211 Too bad there is no local militias. The Obama media machine will exact revenge on anyone who dares think they know what's best for them and their families.

While Mike Shannon is clearly a communist and drunk on his own power the truth is, in every city across this nation, there exists more Mike Shannons. There are more Mike Shannons than there are decent americans anymore. Mike Shannon represents 90% of the American Citizenry.

Militia's worked at a time when the government and the commoner were equal in terms of weapons. Now, that has changed. A Mike Shannon can be sitting anywhere in the world now and with one missile destroy an entire militia.

We are out gunned, out manned, out numbered. Welcome to the United Social States of America headed by Our Dear Leader Obama Hussein Barrack.

71239 This was a perfect missed opportunity for the "gun shots heard around the world"...

76211 >>> Guerilla Warfare is what will win!...Nothing else will work. Just look at the Afghanistan "insurgents" (actually they are merely doing what we should be doing and that is fighting this TYRANNICAL and OCCUPYING force)

6674 Unfortunately for this farm they probability had a business license. Which means they contracted with the government. By doing so they gave up their rights and agreed to be regulated.

If I were running a farm I would already have figured out how to test cheese. I would have purchased the equipment and would have been doing my own tests. That way when people show up I can say 100% I know what is going on.

These robot sheriffs are the worst of the worst. They can't even say they wouldn't take away guns. They took an oath. I have no respect for someone that takes an oath and won't uphold it. They should be removed from office. I know they didn't answer the question but to me that means they would take away peoples defenses.

50135 Central bankers are ultimately the weak, pussy DNA of our species, seeing that they are so insecure that they require so much "hidden" power.

Power and control at all costs is for PUSSIES. Plain and simple.

Men who need to coiffe their assholes with the best feathers of society are not men. They are fucking pansies.

67210 This is because we have TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION. The people do not have representatives who represent the people. Our supposed representatives, both in state and federal level, are bought and paid for by those that control the money.

6941 You should not personally identify 'friendly' folks in the Sheriff department with regard to gun confiscation. You put him and his job at risk. It would have been just as easy to say, "Only one gave a satisfactory response". If he loses his job, you lose, possibly your only, ally. Dumb mistakes...

128187 Where were the outraged consumers? Folks in the Federal Government seem to discourage independence. They hate the nuclear family, they hate Christianity, and they hate close-communities -- they are what make people independent from the Fed Gov't. Small family farm operations are especially demonized since they are the definition of independence. Big Brother's message to you farmers is, "Submit or be broken." You should give them a clear message back and rally the communities you reside in behind you. Collectively you should demand any agents that come to turn back, and take corrective action if they refuse. Please help defend the small farmers in your communities.

7446 I guess it's time the feds go and shut down all the oil refineries that have ignored all the EPA regs on pollution. After the nearly trillion $$ that we as taxpayers have given Big Oil through subsidies over the last 50-60 years. They should have all their assets seized for non compliance. We will see who's crying then.

5013 Congratulations on an excellent video! The guys who took this were prepared. The other dairy farmers need to follow suit! And I hope there is an impending law suit about this. Word will get out. This country is about to crash and rebuild. You are part of the fix. Thank you!

18491 Now the Department of Agriculture has resurrected an out-of-date regulation that permits the "Raisin Administrative Committee" to seize 47% of a raisin grower's crop. Just Google .. raisins 47% fr all sorts of websites.

7129 I wonder if they'll raid Beyond Organic Ranch just down the road near West Plains--I hear that place makes raw cheese too. Probably even uses the same state inspectors.

76121 Excellent video. The Milk Board needs to be sued! Have you seen the youtube videos of the swat team tactics against the Gibson Guitar company and a water bottling company? Are we living in a fascist country where law abiding citizens and ethical businesses are being treated like criminals? Confiscating perfectly good cheese (from a company with a STELLAR record of NOT ONE incident of illness in 30 YEARS!) and these "officials" not propertly refrigerating it and then waiting so long to test it, why wasn't the health board there to make sure the Milk Board was doing its job correctly? This whole incident is so INFURIATING!. Why aren't the police out getting real criminals instead of ruining a competent dairy farmer's business? The whole company was swabbed and 100% clean. People's constitutional rights are getting trampled!

2420 ATTENTION FARMERS: Collect contact info from your buyers, for your own protection. Then when these incidents happen, you have a local militia group to contact for backup support. The bigger your list, the more likely you'll have people with the right idea to back you up. Watching these videos made it obvious to me that enough people standing up against those 'authorities', would have changed the whole scene, especially with the use of non-violent civil disobedience. We CAN hold them back, by standing together!
NOTE: When the feds demand your buyer list, make it clear that one does not exist (for their use).

2221 These poor guys need a good lawyer. The police have stolen perfectly good produce and should be made to pay for it. If the cheeses tested independently found to be perfectly safe, then the farmers have a good case.Is it illegal to sell raw milk cheese, or is it legal? If it's legal there is no case. if it is illegal, then the farmer should have known better.
It's all right for the pharmaceutical industry to kill people in their hundreds of thousands, and companies like Monsanto, with their unwanted GM crops, but when good people try to make an honest living they are hounded out of business.
Welcome to America

65170 I grew up on a small dairy farm in Pa. All we had was raw milk to drink. There are no problems whatsoever with raw dairy products. I feel this is just the begining, this country which used to be the bread basket of the world, and the arsenol of the world is simply done...

Posted: Feb 08 2013, 3:13 PM

136200 take the money out of government and this problem is gone. end the fed, vote, send letters, take resposibility to minimize government, and we are back to making raw milk of hapiness. focus on retaining your freedom to pursue hapiness by not giving the government the money to exercise dominion.
