LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police in Long Beach now say an officer injured during a shootout with a suspect was actually shot by another officer. The two responded to a call around 9 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex on Artesia Boulevard near Paramount Boulevard, Long Beach police report. The suspect at the scene reportedly began shooting as soon as the officers arrived. The injured officer was hit as another returned fire. The officer is expected to recover. The suspect — now identified as 31-year-old Eric Arroyo of Long Beach — was also injured. Read More |
