Cop Arrests Man For Disagreeing With Him

Charges man with "obstruction of justice" for disagreeing with his take on an event

A Parkersburg, West Virginia police officer flew into a rage after a passenger in a car he had pulled over suggested the driver was not responsible for a previous accident he was involved in. The cop apparently vehemently disagreed, and rather than express himself through voicing his disagreement, he decided instead to arrest the man and falsely charge him with obstruction of justice.

This is a clear cut abuse of power and this police officer is the exact type of person who should not be given arbitrary power. This cop should be fired and charged with making a false arrest, this type of thuggery should not be tolerated.

72148 While I do agree that there are cops out there who abuse their power, I believe that this case was a set-up or self-fulfilling prophecy in that they turned the video camera on and were looking to instigate the cop to film this. Not a good example actually of "abuse". Come on folks...

68167 Uh.. yeah it is. A cop is not allowed to arrest you simply because he is mad. If this guy gets a lawyer worth anything, he'll win this in court resoundingly.
