Report from my trip to protest "Science City", a proposed massive city to be built by Johns Hopkins essentially illegally in the center of my suburban hometown. God this other clown went up and talked about how he can't wait to bike on all the paths through the new town (everyone laughed at him it was so ridiculous, as though he is going to go through an 8-lane-highway with his children on their bikes). He requested they create "brick paths" like they have in some other countries, LOL! He was such a shill, he knew it was going to rape the town, people had already broken it all down, obviously just thought he would be creative I suppose.

I am not sure what can be done about this situation. However, I suspect there is a legal mechanism that can be used to stop this...or postpone it, at least for a time. There must be some organization that works on these issues. Once I make it through law school (assuming I get through the LSAT : )!), I will learn what legal means there are available to stop these things.

I bet if someone could obtain a copy of the legal proposal, they could potentially put holes through it entirely. Canvassing the residents with a clear argument against the development would work too...People, being busy and also feeling a bit powerless, may not know what to do....Massive phone calling, hour after hour to the council members could help..or postpone the development.

Why don't you post the name and phone numbers of the appropriate people and have people that come on this site make some phone calls for you? : )! Also, MD residents can call their Senators and House members...Although this is local, if it gets enough attention, it could slow down the process.

Finally, John Hopkins....have people do a mass call in to the university... Perhaps other readers have ideas too...Who really cares about the shills (or the poor souls who don't understand the ultimate damage they do to their souls)...No need to stare them down...just defeat them!!!!!
